Are you a builder?

Definitely not. We just fix stuff, so more complex projects such extensions, roof

construction, landscaping projects, etc, are not within our capacity. There are many

excellent builders in the Highlands.

Do you do gardening work?

Unfortunately, we don't have green thumbs. We just fix stuff. There are many fine

horticultural experts in the Highlands.

Do you provide quotes over the phone or email?

Every job is different and requires a detailed assessment, no matter how small. We

view every job and meet with the client whenever possible. This eliminates any

guess work or misunderstandings. Some jobs are completed immediately, others

take time. Sometimes we discover other issues which were not obvious and we

may even provide alternative options or solutions. Repair and payment options

are discussed during this visit.

I need help but I'm not sure where to begin or what trade

would be suitable to contact.

Happy to help. Simply get in touch and tell us what you need help with and we'll

advise. We'll try and assist but if its not something we do, we'll point you in the

Do you do lawn mowing?

Sorry, we just fix stuff. There are many good lawn mowing services in the Southern

Highlands.

Definitely! We’re a genuine Highlands business with a registered ABN and fully

insured.

Do you charge a call out fee?

Many trades and home services do charge a call out fee. We do not charge a call

out fee for local jobs.

Do you do small one-off jobs?

Absolutely — small jobs are the specialty. The market has changed, and most

builders and tradies won't bother with single tasks. Highlands Fixit was built

specifically to fill that gap. No job is too minor.

What kinds of maintenance and repairs do you do?

Broken locks, loose hinges, sticking doors, flyscreen repairs, window locks, kitchen

cabinet issues, hole repairs in walls, letterboxes, gates — the list goes on. Joe also

handles wall repair, fence repair, minor rectification work, and small painting jobs. If

in doubt, just ask.

Can you assemble IKEA or flat pack furniture?

Yes! Flat pack assembly is one of the most common requests. Joe can assemble,

dismantle, repair, adjust or refit almost any flat pack item — from flat pack

That's the DIY Rescue service — and it's one of the most popular. Whether you

started something and can't finish, you have an idea but don't know where to start,

or you just need a second opinion from someone who knows what they're doing,

Joe can step in and sort it out.
